Biography

Born in Trappes in the Paris region on 24 January 2008, Ibrahim Mbaye joined Paris Saint-Germain at the age of 10. After several years developing at the Rouge et Bleu academy, where he was named Titi d’Or 2024, he made his professional debut on 16 August 2024 against Le Havre, aged 16 years, 6 months and 23 days, becoming the youngest player ever to start a match for Paris Saint-Germain.

A few months later, he signed his first professional contract with the capital club. His debut professional season was historic, as he became French champion and also won the Coupe de France. After taking part in the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, he contributed to the victory over Tottenham in the UEFA Super Cup.

During the 2025-2026 season, he made his Champions League debut against Atalanta, then took part in the Intercontinental Cup final won against Flamengo a few months later in Doha, Qatar.

Called up by Senegal head coach Pape Thiaw, he made his international debut in November 2025 before playing at the Africa Cup of Nations two months later. At club level, his second professional season ended in the best possible way, with another Ligue 1 title and his first Champions League triumph, the second in the club’s history.
